We strive to support sustainability in our operations, and we constantly work to promote it. Locality and safety are important values for us, which are reflected in our daily operations. We want to promote well-being, human rights and equality. Nature is important to us, and we want to secure a clean operating environment in the future as well. We are committed to measures that support sustainability and to learn more about them.

Green Key

At Helka, we represent the leading standards for excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainability within the travel industry. For this we have been awarded the Green Key certificate which is to be annually renewed and requires passing a versatile set of responsibility criteria.

At our breakfast, you will find a wide range of organic and locally produced options. Our breakfast has earned the maximum number of stars in the Portaat luomuun program.

Waste sorting and recycling is important to us at Helka. This is why we have made this possible for our guests as well by adding sorting points to the elevator lobbies of each floor.

In the hotel lobby, there is a shared refrigerator for our guests to store food and drinks. This allows us to save more than 50,000 kWh of energy annually compared to room-specific minibars.
